Thank You Skyway My Way Users!

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Despite being a short month, web traffic to SkywayMyWay.com in February continued to increase compared to previous months.  In fact, traffic has grown steadily (and briskly) since our site launched last April.  It has been great to see the site being used to its full potential, and to hear all of your positive feedback.  It’s safe to say that SkywayMyWay.com has become a legitimate and consistently utilized tool for thousands of us navigating the skyway.  We just wanted to pause for a moment to take a breath, and say thank you for all of your support!  We continue to be excited about this project, and have much more up our sleeve as we ‘March’ ahead (pun fully intended).

Thanks again!

The Skyway – A Valentine’s Friend

Friday, February 11th, 2011

Here I am, last minute shopping once again for the perfect gift.  Not to fret, this awesome skyway map is giving me tons of ideas!  There are some great options for dinner in the Gourmet and standard Restaurant categories, like Zelo or The Local perhaps.  Now, I need to find some chocolate, and fast.  Aha! Godiva Chocolatier is one option in the Snacks/Sweets category I see.  I need to get something else though, chocolate only goes so far.  Maybe a gift card to a salon?  Women love salons, right?  Perfect! There’s a few under the Health & Beauty category.  I’m set!  Wait, almost forgot the card.  I’ll stop by Gaviidae Convenience on my way out, they would have Valentine cards right?  If not, at least one of the 22 other convenience stores in this map should.

Whew.

Videotect and Skyway Open

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Thanks to the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) there’s much to see and do as it relates to our favorite skyway during the month of February.

A magazine of theirs, Architecture Minnesota, is putting on a video competition about the skyway and its impact on urban life.  The deadline for discounted registration is February 4th, and submissions are due the 25th.  We’re curious to see how many people will be roaming the skyways with camcorders in the coming weeks.

The AIA is also sponsoring the 2011 U.S. Bank Skyway Open miniature golf tournament February 24th – 26th which benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.  Food, drink, prizes galore.  Go check it out, you may run into us milling around, or at the 19th hole.
